WHAT SIZE IS A SKIP?

Skips come in two physical sizes:

3 cubic yards (Cherry)

5 cubic yards (Lime)

HOW ARE WE ABLE TO OFFER LARGER SIZES?

Skips are designed to stack inside of each other when empty (like tupperware).  This innovative design allows us to offer un-matched size flexibility.

We offer larger sizes by delivering more than 1 Skip at a time. For Example:

8 cubic yards = 2 Skips delivered simultaneously [5 yard + 3 yard]

10 cubic yards = 2 Skips delivered simultaneously [5 yard + 5 yard]

15 cubic yards = 3 Skips delivered simultaneously [5 yard + 5 yard + 5 yard]

WHAT ARE THE DIMENSIONS OF SKIPS?

3 cubic yard (Cherry) Skip dimension are approximately:

8′ long x 4′ wide x 3’10” high

5 cubic yard (Lime) Skip dimensions are approximately:

8′ long x 5′ wide x 5′ high (each end is 3′ 10″ high for easy loading)

WHAT IF I DON’T KNOW WHICH SIZE TO ORDER?

If you have read our Size Estimator page, and are still uncertain which size Skip you will need, we now have an option to deliver an extra Cherry Skip (upon availability) with your order. You may keep this extra Skip on your property or site for as long as your order states. If you don’t end up using it, we won’t charge you a dime. If you do, we charge you the normal disposal rate.

We only take Credit Cards of which the entire balance is due before initial delivery.
This includes Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.

WHERE CAN YOU PLACE MY SKIP?

Skips are delivered with a crane truck which provides the most versatile placement options available. The crane can lift the Skip up to 20 feet from the truck. Therefore, we can set them in your yard or driveway up to 20 feet from the street or alley.

    WILL MY DRIVEWAY BE DAMAGED?

We can deliver your Skip onto your property from the street without driving onto your property (up to 20ft). Each Skip is SET (not rolled) onto your driveway or yard. This feature prevents all kinds of possible driveway damage when compared to roll-offs.

If you need your Skips delivered more than 20ft from the street, we must back our truck onto your property. Our drivers always take normal precautions while delivering and picking up each Skip. However, trucks are large and heavy, and the condition of your driveway can make your driveway, sidewalk or yard vulnerable to damage.

The Skip itself is flat-bottomed and weighs about 500 pounds so it should not cause damage. If left on the grass or driveway for much more than a week, it could kill the grass, however, this damage might be avoided by placing 2×4’s under the Skip. We do not provide 2×4’s but our driver will place your Skips Dumpster on them if they are provided for us.

    CAN I MOVE MY SKIP?

No! We will do our best to place your Skip in a convenient spot as you request. Once we have placed it, you may not move it. Moving the Skip causes wear and tear, and if it is moved, we may not be able to reach the Skip with our crane for a safe pickup.

    IS THERE A WEIGHT LIMIT?

Heavy materials such as concrete, dirt, brick, rock, sand, asphalt and sod must not fill the Skip more than 24 inches up from the bottom. We cannot lift a Skip that is filled more than 24 inches up from the bottom with these heavy items for safety reasons. You may put lighter materials on top of the heavy materials up to level full for complete use of the Skip.

HOW FULL CAN I FILL MY SKIP?

All materials must be inside the Skip with nothing over the top or out the sides. Safety is our main priority when hauling your Skip. We are required to cover the Skip for hauling and cannot have anything flowing over the top. Heavy materials such as concrete, dirt, brick, rock, sand, asphalt and sod must not fill the Skip more than 24 inches up from the bottom.

DO I NEED TO BE THERE DURING DELIVERY OR PICKUP?

It is not necessary to have someone onsite for deliver or removal of the container. However, please be as specific as possible when answering the delivery questions, as the driver will use their best judgment and place the container in the safest accessible area when delivering the container. If an onsite contact is not available for delivery, you will be responsible for all charges involved with relocation of the Skip should it be necessary. For removal; customer agrees to provide unobstructed access to the equipment on the scheduled pick-up day. If Skip is inaccessible, customer may be subject to additional pick-up charges, as terms and conditions apply.

WHAT IF I NEED TO KEEP MY SKIP LONGER THAN 14 DAYS?

Please note all changes to your order must occur at least 1 business day in advance to allow for processing, as terms and conditions apply. Our trucks have scheduled daily routes, so there may be an additional charge to pickup your Skip sooner than scheduled if the driver must leave his scheduled route. There may be an additional charge of $25 per week for keeping the Skip longer than designated.

WILL I BE BILLED MORE DEPENDING ON WEIGHT?

No. We do not bill depending on weight. You must follow the guidelines set for each Skip which includes:

    1. Dirt and Concrete must be placed inside first, and it cannot be filled more than 24″ from the bottom of each Skip.
    2. Make sure each Skip is not filled above their respective sidewalls.
